Lenovo announces the Yoga Duet 7 2021 with
Intel Tiger Lake processors, faster RAM and Thunderbolt 4
Lenovo has announced a new version of the
Yoga Duet 7i, a convertible thatwe reviewedlast year. So far, Lenovo has only revealed
the Yoga Duet 7 2021 in China, The new model is almost indistinguishable from
its predecessor, but there a few fundamental changes under the hood.
On the one hand, Lenovo has ditched the
Comet Lake-U processors it included in last year’s Yoga Duet 7i in favour of
newer Tiger Lake-U series ones. Specifically, the Yoga Duet 7 2021 will be
available with aCore i5-1135G7or aCore i7-1165G7, a significant improvement on theCore i5-10210UandCore i7-10510Ufound in the current model.
A bonus of adopting Intel’s Tiger Lake
platform is Thunderbolt 4, which is present on the new Yoga Duet 7.
Additionally, this year’s model comes with faster DDR4 RAM, up to 16 GB of it,
and a 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD, up from 512 GB in the previous Yoga Duet 7. The
13-inch display remains at 16:10 panel though and continues to operate natively
at 2,160 x 1,350 pixels.
